About the Conversation:

This presentation is intended as an introduction to forensic pathology and applications of basic science in such. Principles of physics, chemistry and microbiology are presented. The career requirements for pathology as a profession are outlined. Motivation for the relevance of academic achievement is also emphasized.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Stier is an assistant professor in the department of pathology as a Forensic Pathologist. He has an undergraduate degree in Bacteriology and medical degree, both from the UW. His pathology training includes anatomic, clinical, forensic, and neuropathology. He currently serves as a medico legal death investigative consultant to about 25 Wisconsin counties.
